What is your style?
I like to describe my photography style as directed but authentic. I will give you directions and cues throughout the session, but will never ask you to pretend to be someone or something that you're not. While many clients will want some posed portraits, the best photos are the ones that happen spontaneously and authentically - a real laugh, a hug, and yes, even a little pout or tear.

How does the booking process work?
The process is simple, I promise. I like to spend a little time getting to know my potential clients. This lets me learn what you're looking for, and lets me explain my style and approach. Once we chat and agree that we're a good match, I will send you a contract, an invoice for the deposit, and a questionnaire. After the contract is signed and the deposit is paid, your session will be reserved for you. I do not double book, ever. The final balance will be due one week before the shoot.
That's it!

How long does it take to receive the images?
A sneak peak image or two will be posted on my facebook and instagram pages within a few days. You will receive an invitation to your private online gallery within 3 weeks of your shoot date. From there you will be able to download any digital images included in your package and order any prints or other products you'd like.

Can I post my images on social media?
If it's not on social media, did it even really happen? Of course you can post your photos!
As I don't watermark your final photos, I just ask that you give credit by tagging Stephanie D. Churchill Photography.

Do you travel for sessions?
Absolutely! My love for photography sprang from my love of travel, so I'm always eager to pack my bags, whether for just a few hours or for a few days. Your session fee includes travel within 30 miles (round trip) of my studio, but as long as I can find a way to get to your desired destination, we can surely find a way to make it happen.
If you want to shoot at a location that requires a permit, you will be required to secure and pay for the permit. Proof that you've received the permit must be forwarded to me no more than one week out from the date of the shoot. If an entry fee and/or parking is required for a location, the client will be required to pay for all fees.

Is portraiture just for couples and families?
Definitely not! Whether or not you have a partner and/or children, your life and story is important and worth documenting. You've worked hard to build the life you have, right? Be proud of it.
With the increasing expectation of having a strong and well-curated digital footprint that accompanies today's world, portraiture can be useful to a wide variety of individuals or groups.
I am always excited to photograph those who may not feel like they're the typical audience of portrait photographers.

What if my needs don't fit one of the packages or styles listed here?
Talk to me! I love challenges and trying new things. As you can see from my portfolio, I love many types of photography.  Let's have a conversation about what type of photos you're looking for, what kind of activity/location/style you're looking for, and see if we can make it happen!
